With Memorial Day fast approaching, now is as good a time as ever to honor servicemen and women in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States.
At O'Malley & Langan, we understand that in the Scranton area alone, many organizations exist to increase quality of life for veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries and other injuries. One such organization, Tails for Troops, aims to do just that - with a little help from man's best friend.
Spearheaded by Marywood University's Student Veteran Alliance, Tails for Troops was founded with one goal in mind: to pair veterans dealing with PTSD and TBI with rescued and specially trained shelter dogs. In collaboration with New Mexico-based Paws and Stripes, local non-profit relies heavily on fundraisers and community involvement for support. Tails for Troops grew exponentially by its second year, raising over $10,000 for injured veterans and providing training to four service dogs.
The "You Be the Judge" video presented by O'Malley & Langan highlights upcoming Tails for Troops events across the Scranton, PA area and features special guests Christopher Smith, President of the Marywood Student Alliance and Joel Lesh, Vice President of the Marywood Student Alliance.
