H & R BLOCK CLASS ACTION

The Class Plaintiffs alleged that H&R Block breached their fiduciary duties to the Plaintiffs, violated State consumer fraud statutes, breached their contractual obligations to the Plaintiffs and that H&R Block was unjustly enriched.

The Honorable Trish Corbett, Lackawanna County, certified a class in this action on 95/07, that included H&R Block clients who had their personal tax returns prepared at and H&R Block locations within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and incurred a fee for the electronic filing of their tax return between August 31, 1996 and October 9, 2007.

This order was thereafter altered to limit the certified class to Plaintiff's claims for breach of fiduciary duty.
